RIDE DESCRIPTION

Welcome to Lake Chelan's  deep blue water, 300 days of sunshine, world-class wineries,  gourmet restaurants, and small-town charm.  The pristine 50.5 mile glacier-fed lake is 1.5 miles at its widest and 1486 ft. at its deepest point. The Lake Chelan Valley is nestled in the North Cascades National Forest.

This beautiful ride through the Lake Chelan, Valley has grown over 20% in each of the last 3 years.  We expect to host 300 riders in 2014.  The ride passes through orchards and vineyards into the mountainous terrain surrounding Lake Chelan; one of the world’s most spectacular glacial carved lakes with some of Washington State’s most impressive scenery.

2014 will be the fifth year of the Lake Chelan Cycle de Vine.  The ride is approximately 35 miles long passing through breathtaking scenery and visiting some of the Chelan Valley's preeminent wineries. Selected wineries will host a rest-stops stocked with snacks and non-alcoholic drinks. Drinking of wine at the rest stops will be discouraged.

After you have finished the ride you will be given two (2) cards.  Each card entitles a registered CycleDeVine Rider to One Glass of Wine at Participating Wineries.  Each card must be surrendered to the winery prior to receiving your glass of wine.  A card has a maximum value of $7.50 and has no cash value and will be valid only on June 21 & 22, 2014 only

A number of the wineries have excellent restaurants and offer live music on weekends. Riders are encouraged to eat at the wineries and enjoy these music venues. You may even enjoy special discounts for participants.
